amazing stories

This year’s Night of 1,000 Stories fundraiser for 826 Boston focused on the theme of time
travel. It was an inspirational evening, with highlights from the organization’s inception
to it’s current state. The organization officially welcomed Jessica Drench to the Executive
Director role and thanked Daniel Johnson for nine years at the helm of 826 Boston—
including its founding—now assuming the role of director emeritus.

The evening featured, among other things: big plans for growth, toasts to the amazing
student’s achievements, readings by ZZ Packer, stories by 826 Founder Dave Eggers,
a live auction, paddle raise, slam poetry, and sing along with Ryan Miller of Guster.
